The Buddha taught a direct way to alleviate suffering and discover peace, wisdom and happiness: cultivating mindfulness — connecting with our direct experience through the practice of meditation.
This daylong workshop, led by Sally Armstrong, will explore the first foundation of mindfulness: mindfulness of body — grounding our attention in the breath and an intimate awareness of the nature of the body.
Through guided meditations, talks and discussions, you will gain an experiential understanding of how mindfulness works and how it can transform your life, contributing to a genuine sense of well-being, joy, non-reactivity and freedom.
I'll be offering private one-on-one meetings throughout the day — for students with questions about their practice, or any of the day's teachings.
The workshop is the first of a four-daylong series, once a month, taught by Sally Armstrong and Donald Rothberg. You can attend any or all of them.
